Significance of mystical jade

Did anyone find the mystical jade (that Tang Yu and A Nu eventually use in CP1), to be overly hyped in the drama, and when the time came that Jing Tian and Xue Jian uses it..it didn't really do much? What did it actually do?

Also, I thought the holders of it would be together forever..but doesn't Jing Tian kind of "die" in the end? :( Doesn't that mean he and Xue Jian aren't "together"?

hmm i think you are right about this weird broach thing. But Jing Tain dies because doesn't he ask the God emperor dude bring all who died alive again.
I think this broach is cursed 8)
NO one is together in the end :( Everyone just dies
But in CP1 only one couple stays together and they turn in to birds and fly away together.
But the broach is cursed with people dieing. 8)

ahah, that leads me to the netx quetsion.. how come when Ah Nu and Tang Yu uses the broach/jade thing, they turn into birds, and when Jing Tian and Xue Jian uses it they don't?

i think its because ah nu and tang yu wished to be together forever when they used it, thus it turned them into birds, keeping them together forever
while jing tian and xue jian wished for power to defeat xie jian xian, though in the end he only got the power that everyone else transfered to him(WTF???)

I thought A Nu and Tang Yu's wish was to restore everything that was destroyed in Nan Zhao, or something along those lines? And then I wondered why she didn't wish the people who died to come back (like her father)

This brings me to another question...

What actually happens when the two pieces get together? Right off the bat in episode 1, the Jade pieces become one when Jing Tian and Xue Jian get stuck together on the streets- does this mean they could have made a wish at that time (but didn't know)?

Or was this binding the start of making them "be together"?

Ohhh, so many questions with this jade pendant.

I think I can only answer this one:
"...when the time came that Jing Tian and Xue Jian uses it..it didn't really do much? What did it actually do?"

They asked for the strength to defeat the evil sword immortal right? It did not came right away. But in the scene, there was Long Kui who said to grant the strength to jing tian. So in the end, long kui ended up binding her spirit in the sword again, therefore imbuing the sword with great power which jing tian used to defeat that evil bald man. So the wish was really granted to jing tian, and long kui embodies that wish.

Well.. that seems like a crappy 'wish' if there's a price to pay..

Pretty crappy it is. But if not, who else can grant him the strength. Even the heavenly emperor cannot handle that bald man.
