And have fun walking the zombie general's maze...I personally never even finished it. (I downloaded a save file that's at the end of the maze. But after I defeat the zombie general, I had to walk another long maze in the blood pool).

That wasn't too bad..the maze which was even more long was the one in the Tower LingEr was trapped in...(and the CRAZY ones near the end (where u try to obtain Gods)

the one to find the 36 bug formula is even worse....

and what is so bad is that the stainless sword (ulti weap in XJ1) is at an unreachable point!

That's a bug in most game, however there is a fixed patch that will move the treasure chest to the left of the portal (where it is suppose to be).

Just noting that I have New Pal XP installed on my WinXP machine. Despite enabling CHN language support via Languge and Region settings (so I can type chinese etc) it still doesn't display chinese text when browsing folders - but in-game is fine).

The game installed just fine and plays fine.

Weird, I remember that made hell with lots of gamers because when New Pal was released, many has already intergrated into Windows XP, at the time, the game will just jump out when you reach a certain point in game and you can never pass that place ever again without the game just shutting down. Hence made it unplayable.

If you could not read Chinese,
You can use AGTH (http://agthook.googlepages.com/index.html) to capture Pal1 chinese text (XP version) with option /V
and then use a program likes systrans to translate it.
But because PAL1 can't run in window mode, it's rather troublesome.
