Actually that might be due to your hard drive, when I try to install it on my C: drive which was a 120GB SATA drive, I got the same error. When I install it on my H: which was a 20GB EIDE drive it was fine.

Also just take the default install directory as well (:\softstar), cause when I try install it as (:\games\softstar), I get the same not enough memory error as well, but it installed fine on the default directory.

No, it's different from 95 and dos version.
dos→dos version
Pal95→in 1995(in Taiwan,Traditional Chinese[BIG5] )
Pal98→in 1998(in China,Simplified Chinese[GB2312])
NPal新仙劍→The same to XP version

The final result cartoons of dos is difference between 95 and dos.

The password for extracting the file is http://www.zhaolinger.net ? When I type it, it says wrong password?

I believe this is saying " In order to play, you need to insert the game LSF for Windows 95 CD-ROM", so this is what you do: put the CD into your CD-ROM. (and make sure you put it in your first CD-ROM if your computer has more than one, otherwise the game will not start)

*-*v Thx. I could resolve it, because I didn't put in first CD-ROM. ^_^
