It looked like she was alive in the 95 version, but she isn't really... cause earlier on in Nan Zhao Guo, Sheng Gu talks about the possibility for Yue Ru being alive, and that she will come to life, but isn't really 'alive'

For the show I voted the sad ending...

Only because it allows the producers to come back with a "Xiao Yao revives the girls!" plot for the next series

Like mentioned in a another post, we didn't actually see it ^^; They were merely words Drunken Sword said to Xiao Yao..they COULD have been lies, and Yue Ru was hiding somewhere- but its not the case here..but if they wanted to make a sequel it is possible they follow this route (as have many fanfics)

Yeah, guess how many gamers were suprised about that twist at the end, and thus creating such fandom which first started when players join together to discuss about how each they felt about the ending of the game.

OMG the ending is soo tragic. i can't believe linger died in the end. i was so hopeful that they would be together for a long time... and then she started bleeding and i was like wtf! now XY has lost everyone he loves and has to live a more painful life. but i still consider this my favorite series :D

Xiao Yao can no longer be "Xiao Yao" =(

Who would have guessed a light-hearted series could turn so tragic?
