Am curious, what are the shows that are the most popular in China right now? Top drama, comedy, etc? Does anyone know?

hmmm..I really don't know XD There's sooo many channels in CHina I can't even keep track last time I was there XD And I'd see the same show on two different channels up to different episodes but one with Mandarin dub, and the other in Cantonese XDD

One answer-
"喜羊羊与灰太狼“
Official English translation is "Pleasant Goat Goat and Big Big Wolf", thought that's not quite the most accurate translation. (hui tai lang translates more as "grand grey wolf" for me xD) It's extremely popular right now.

Haha. Just Googled 喜羊羊与灰太狼.
Didn't literally mean "kids". Was asking about new shows that are popular for the general audience.

The Myth is still popular, it was broadcasting... and I have been seeng Meteor, Butterfly Sword on TV quite a lot, and there's one called "tian shi zhong kui", like the afterstories of many of the myths/legends like White Snake, Mermaid spirit, and Nie Xiaoqian.
I also see new Heaven Sword & Dragon sabre broadcasted quite often. They always play so many eps a day that the show is finished within a few weeks lol
Modern ones, I sometimes see the sitcom Home with Kids(Jia you er nu) still on, which I LOVE that show, it is so funny. They made an animated version of it too which is very cute. I think they used the original eps's voice and just animated it. so all the events are the same. They made one called Home with the Aliens(Jia you wai xin ren) a while back and played it earlier this year
As for drama modern, I have no idea because I always switch channels when i see it>< lol

I watched the first episode of The Myth and really want to see the rest.
Am looking forward to Hu Ge's new modern drama "Modern New Species". It looks really promising.

The Myth is great but
(spoilers)
It ends more depressing then Cp1... Ugh! I really want there to be a sequal, I acutally heard the actors talking about it in an interview which is good.

Hm...美人心计 (Schemes/Tactics of a Beauty)
I don't know if Xianjian fans will enjoy it; as it's different from that genre, but Yang Mi acted in it. (I, for the most part, liked it xD)

Re: What are the kids watching in China?
Sorry for the double post. More top dramas:
宫 (Palace) Yang Mi acted in this one as well.
There's one coming out; not sure if it already has, 步步惊心. Liu Shishi acts in that.
(^ These two are more palace oriented; time travel related :S Haven't watched those xD)
There's also Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei (A sprig of plum), in which Wallace Huo acted.
Don't know about the popularity of this one, but it's called the Legend of the Twelve Zodiacs. Totally different from the traditional story though. Yang Mi acts in it. Haven't watched it myself, but it's relatively high ranked on my pptv stream ^^
And the last one I have is Holy Pearl (女娲传说之灵珠). (The Holy Pearls of the Legend of Nuwa) It's popular, I think??? (Haven't looked into that one; I just know the title and that it exists ^^)
