14 February 2007: I've added pictures of Xian Jian II game images into the Eye Candy section. Yes, Ling Er is featured in Xian Jian 2! Find out more by visiting the link =) I've also added a new Music Video of Xian Jian Game (XP version) about Xiao Yao missing Ling Er. This was created in 2004, and was obtained from our affiliate Zhao Ling Er.org. I have uploaded this MV here on this fansite for you to download. It's really a nice MV for fans of the game. I've also cleaned up the MV page and removed all dead links.

11 February 2007: Added 4 new official artwork as well as a new page on Li Yi Ru, Xiao Yao and Ling Er's daughter :) Personally, I haven't played the Sequels to Xian Jian so I'm not 100% sure about the story; but with the help of members from the forum I was able to compile things. Hope you enjoy it! If there's anything you think should be included, please let me know!

10 February 2007: I've added more detail to the profiles of the actors, and hope to write up more information for them. 4 new images were added to the [Photos] section, 2 in the behind the Scene. I've added a new page in the [Devotion] section to include behind the scene footages (from youtube.com) As promised yesterday, I have put up pictures of Hu Ge and Liu Yi Fei together at various functions. I've also created another artwork of the couple. Both can be found under [Eye Candy].

9 February 2007: Double Update! I've created a new informative page on the Myth of Nu Wa! Thats right, new screencaptures and written content =) It took me a while to write up, so make sure to check it out. If there's anything that needs correcting, please let me know. Enjoy!

9 February 2007: I did some cleaning around the site, such as touching up images in the [About] page, re-writing content and updating the FAQ page. I've still got some pictures of Liu Yi Fei and Hu Ge at various award ceremonies, I'll post them up next time.

8 February 2007: Version 6 layout is up! I hope you all like this layout because it's my personal favourite so far =) It's also the first layout that's centered! The images used on the layout can be found in this site, however- I have touched them up so they look higher quality.

1 February 2007: Hi everyone! Not much happening in the world of Chinese Paladin, however I have uploaded a new mp3 of the themesong for PAL (The Game). Note: This song is NOT the themesong for Chinese Paladin DRAMA. There is one main music played in PAL Game and this download has a vocal! The source of this is unknown... I assume it is fanmade but someone correct me if I'm wrong. It's a nice slow song and the music definately reminds you of the game. Fans of PAL GAME, you don't want to miss out! 20 December 06: Hi guys, I was browsing through youtube again and came across clips from the DOS version of Pal! It really gives back some good memories ^_^

This is the part where Xiao Yao first encounters Ling Er. It seems we have some misunderstandings here, or is it not? If you're able to read chinese, you can find a great deal of differences from the game with the TV series in this scene. Comparison chart can be found here.

17 December 06: New layout, version 5 is online =) I've been wanting to make a new layout for Fairy and Swordsman for a while. Navigation has been kept similiar to previous versions because I found that it worked pretty well. Hope you enjoy the new colour scheme too. Comments are very welcome in the tagboard below, or the Guestbook. I changed the pictures of the actors (Hu Ge and Liu Yi Fei) which can be found here, as well as updated the FAQ page.

14 December 06: Hello all! Wow, just a few more weeks before X-mas; time just flies. As of today, we have 320 members in the fanlisting from 17 countries =D Singapore currently has the most, followed by USA. So, what's new in the world of Chinese Paladin? Not much actually, since it has been almost 3 years since it first came out. However, it has all been dubbed in Vietnamese titled Kiem Tien Ky Hiep and in Cantonese, aired in many countries of the world. I saw the DVD with Mandarin and Cantonese audio while overseas, but decided there wasn't much point in purchasing it, since I already have the Mandarin version at home. I think the Mandarin dubbing was pretty well made (I didn't realise it was even dubbed until I was informed). Being Cantonese; when I first played the game and read the chinese characters, their names were stuck in my head as "Sill Yill" (Xiao Yao), "Leng Yi" (Ling Er) and "Yoot Yu" (Yue Ru). I thought I wouldn't be use to hearing their names in Mandarin, however- it has such a nice ring to it after the couple call each other so many times 'Xiao Yao ge ge" and "Ling Er!" ..teehee..so cute ^^

November Updates

14 November 06: Hi everyone, 72 screen captures added! These can be all found under the Screen captures page. These include when Xiao Yao regains memory and finds the word "ling" on his palm, Ling Er's flashback when Xiao Yao tells her his nose tapping gesture is just for her, when Xiao Yao finds out Ling Er is about to have a baby, Xiao Yao's "death" and Xiao Yao with little Ling Er 10 years ago. I've also added a tag-board at the bottom of this main page, feel free to tag! Hope you like the additions! 10 November 06: I've rewatched a whole bunch of episodes from Chinese Paladin today...story so sad..*sniff* Anyhows, what I wanted to indicate was that I took a whole bunch of screencaptures, and I must say; there aren't many scenes of Xiao Yao and Ling Er left, that's not on this fansite! (wow..long sentence there!) That's great news, it means you can essentially find images of every scene with the two together here! YAY! I have yet to add the remaining screen captures but will do so ASAP. I've reorganised the "Screen Captures" section to make it easier to navigate. Now there's thumbnails to indicate what images are within those pages, as oppose to written text! As screencaptures are coming to an end (i.e I would have taken all images), feel free to send in requests of what you'd like to see on this fansite. It has almost been a year since I started this site and it really has expanded a lot since. To keep this site going, we need continuous contributions from fans. 6 October 06: That was another quick month that went by! Currently we have a total of 281 members from 17 countries! Hope everyone had a wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival and enjoy the moon-cakes ^_^ No moon cakes here but a lovely couple you know you want to show your support for! I'll be busy for the next month or so as everything in Uni is going to be due but expect more updates afterwards. I'll still try to add some goodies here now and then so make sure to revisit!

12 September 06: Today I've added thoughts from another fan! Furthermore, I've decided to include here one of veevee's Music Videos she made a while ago, but I think it's REALLY well done, so it's worth watching ^^ I think the download of it is available in the MV section of the site too if anyone is interested. It's roughly 10 minutes long.

6 September 06: I've added a new category for the screen capture section: Character Gallery! Basically they're screen captures from the TV series, which will either feature Hu Ge (as Li Xiao Yao) or Liu Yi Fei (as Zhao Ling Er) individually. So far I have a page set up for Zhao Ling Er, where she was trapped in the tower. Check out the 25 new images! More coming soon so make sure you come back for future updates!

25 August 2006: I've reorganised the Screen captures section by adding a short description of the images found within the pages. I'd just like to say a big "Thank You" for making such an awesome fansite about Ling'er and Xiao Yao. It's hard to find an English fansite dedicated to Chinese series couples (okay, ANY Chinese series, period) nowadays, and your fansite is absolutely fantabulous (fantastic+fabulous) to boot! Of course, the "Eye Candy" section helps a lot too! *wink* Thank you for posting up so many great graphics to share with us fans.

Personally, I can't stand bad English, whether it's written or spoken, so your site is really a sight for sore eyes. I'm really impressed with the "Articles" section. I've actually learned quite a few things there.

My favourite scene is in Suo Yao Ta, when Xiao Yao finally regains his memories about Ling'er and rushes in to save her. The most touching part was when Ling'er (her spirit, I guess) touched his nose and he seemed to feel it as though she had really woken up and did it.

30 July 06: I've created and added another Artwork, so we have 4 total so far. This artwork was based off the final scene when Ling Er dies in Xiao Yao's arms... I must say, I felt really depressed making this >< Also, because I was inspired by the end result, I wrote an article on the ending of the TV drama. 17 July 06: As promised, I made new screencaptures for you all- 81 images were added to the Sceencaptures section, on the third page under 'others'. These were from episode 13 in the vampire stage up to the point Ling Er is in the carriage and Xiao Yao chases after. 10 March 06: I've added 60 new screencaptures of this lovely couple! I've jumped scenes from Ling Er and the red flowers to when Ling Er reunites with Xiao Yao in the Tower. The reason I've done that is because I've already made screen captures of it previously, and wanted to post it up :) Next, I'm going to look at the scenes after they're in Nan Zhao Guo, and hopefully get the ending pictures up. 10 Feb 06: I've added a new music video made by iheartu, called 'Mei Ren Yu', and it's very good :) I've also created 3 more animated GIFS which have been added. I've screencaptured 428 images from the TV drama, however I have yet to make the thumbnails for them, and still need to organise them. Most of these are from the last few episodes of them together :) I've noticed it's quite difficult to capture every action, since movements make the image blurry, but I've tried my best to get great shots. Come on, let's see some more fans joining the list.

27 Jan 06 Made and added 9 more GIFS of Ling Er in various outfits and other characters.

26 Jan 06 I've written up a long article in regards to evidence Ling Er is the one Xiao Yao truly loves. Hope you enjoy it, it's not completely finished yet but I have the first part up. I've also put up fan's thoughts on the couple, added 4 avatars and 3 GIFS under fanart (they're adorable!). Yay, 29 members!

25 Jan 06 Added a Fan made Music Video section under Devotion and added 2 MVs made by Veevee. I've also added some Official Artwork of the couple from the game. Yay, we have 23 members now, keep it coming you guys! Thanks.
